its all pop-sci and if you post something that says "weed may be bad" the comments are filled with nothing but "THE N IS LOW IM PRETTY SURE. WHATS THE N? 30? WOW THATS LOW. I THINK ITS LOW, DONT YOU THINK ITS LOW?"
its pretty fucking terrible, and I've seen numerous top-tier gilded comments that were absolutely wrong, but they sounded right, and that's all that matters according to the voting system, which is completely based on public and not expert knowledge. As in, I've seen some factually wrong comments that have been spread into other parts of reddit,and now its "commonly known" but actually very wrong.

this place sucks because its full of undergrads who think that doing calculus problems is something to be proud of
then when I say that, the seniors who took higher level math courses puff up their chest, because they think that doing high level undergrad math is something to be proud of
