What job does /sci/ have?

/sci/, I need some advice. I graduated recently with a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering. I know do work writing patents. I studied Aerospace because I thought I enjoyed planes and space, and I do, but I found halfway through my degree that Aerospace is heavily tied to the military industrial complex and got completely sick with the whole degree. For that reason, I got a job writing patents, which pays well but is unfulfilling as fuck. I just do meaningless paperwork for big companies so they can monopolize their technology, it cuts away at my soul.

I miss doing research bros, I used to do research with drones and it was exciting to be at the cutting edge of technology and to be actually contributing to human progress. However, the only jobs concerning drones were with shitty military-industrial complex megacorps or low paying startups that would work me to the bone and wanted master/PHD candidates anyway. I thought about academia, but I'm too much of a brainlet to become a top professor. Also, my undergrad research was pretty underwhelming, I was just a lackey on some professor's side project, probably not good enough to get into a top institution. My GPA was good though...I don't know what to do bros, should I keep getting paid well at this unfulfilling job or throw it away and go to grad school to actually do fulfilling work?

Also, so this isn't just a blog post, what does /sci/ do for a living and do you enjoy it?
