This is so stupid. A girl told me that the US probably fucked up Hawaii by colonizing and eventually assimilating the islands as a state.
The people lived in a monarchy. They didn't have running water or even textiles. They were dying by the hundreds to simple diseases (even for the time when they were assimilated) and had no representation in their government. Somehow the US fucked them over though lol.

They're not meant to treat illness, anon. They're also not meant to induce recreational highs. I don't understand why they would be "controlled". That would be like saying fruits and vegetables should be controlled prescription drugs.
