How many animals and how much vegetables would it need to sustain nutritional needs of one person?
Give me answers such as "10 chicken and 2 acres of potatoes".
I'm thinking that chicken are good because they produce eggs which you can also eat and you don't have to wait to kill the chicken. But then again, chicken are maybe a bit too large to eat at once so you need a refrigerator. Ideal would be something you can immediately eat, maybe pigeons would be better? Also I guess I'd need variety, so maybe chicken + ducks + something else? Also pigs and goats? Goats also give milk, which is great. But the problems is that it's a lot of meat at once, so you'd need a refrigerator and that's a problem if you want to do it in the wilderness.
Also how much vegetables to have them all year round? Potatoes are great because they are durable after being taken out of the ground. But also variety is needed. What other vegetables? Beans? And how much? And how much work would that entail?
