Considering mankind is literally riddled with neuroses, psychoses and other funky mental illnesses, considering the huge detrimental impact of them on societies, shouldn't we start screening people from a very young age to [try to] cure them as soon as possible?

the majority of these diseases come from mutational load/genetic decay from relaxed natural selection since the advent of modern medicine/industrial society saving all babies. you can't cure them, psychiatry is just being drugged by a paternal figure to whom the patient cedes control, so a substantial placebo aspect as well. advocating such organized mind control makes you sound like a chinaman as well

I'm starting to suspect that classifying mental illnesses and treating them as a medical problem tends to do more harm than good outside of situations where direct physical harm is a possibility (suicidal depression, schizophrenia, etc.). Categorizing a personality flaw as an illness often reduces the responsibility a patient feels for their actions, robbing them of the impetus to improve on their own.
