>>12042986Tesla was a 'showman engineer' at a time when electricity was 'magic which came out of a wire', not a scientist. Possibly the most over-rated man on the internet. He held a host of crackpot ideas.
Tesla believed if electrons existed at all, they were some fourth state of matter or “ sub-atom”, that could only exist in an experimental vacuum and that they had nothing to do with electricity.
Tesla believed that atoms are immutable, they could not change state or be split in any way. He believed in the 19th century concept of an all-pervasive “ether”, that transmitted electrical energy.
Tesla claimed that no energy can be gained by smashing stable atoms. He was smashing them with very high voltages and currents in his experiments.
In some articles he had doubts about theory behind Mendeleev table of elements and results of spectrum analysis. Also he associated Ether with matter something that is abandoned in science today. In one article its said that he was thinking that matter is spinning ether particle at extreme velocities.
In his later years he was very prone to making wild claims which he failed to make good on.
