Because people are shit at teaching, and they certainly don't give a fuck.

For example, just now at age 25 i find out math isn't that shit and it's actually useful for a few real life problems, and that there are shortcuts to annoying stuff. Nobody taught me this shit when I was a kid, I was a retard who had to write down fractions and shit. Kids are treated as absolute retards when their brain plasticity is at maximum, they should be taught calculus and feed them rote memorization and contextual bullshit like history when they become teenagers.
