>>12032073>A psychologist deeply studies his subject, exploring intimately who they are and what they may do.lol the last psychologist I spoke to asserted that 'taking patient privacy very seriously at this facility' somehow involved
a) the coercive stripping of patient legal privacy protections and
b) his own employer paying a 3rd party to launch private and public attacks on his own profession, namely calls for tearing down the ethical oblications that support confidentiality.
He had a PhD, a license to practice, a dozen years of experience, and - they assured me - was 'one of our best'.
The guy was a fucking moron.
He didn't understand that the reason his employer demanded exemption from liability under all state and federal privacy laws was that they had no intention of abiding by those laws.
He didn't understand that the police are literal trained professional liars.
The idea that he knows anything useful about human psychology/motivation/behavior is absurd.
He was a professional in good standing, b/c clinical psychology is a fucking joke, the profession attracts credulous dolts.
Every single mental health professional I've spoken to in their professional capacity has been an utterly unhelpful jackass. That these professions continue to get taken seriously is an embarrassment to our society.
