I have a friend who lives in South Africa, and he wants to be a doctor. He has a 4 year degree, but no med school and residency. He wants to do med school and residency in the US, but he doesn't have the money for travel and lodging, and he was thinking of finding a sponsor. Would that be feasible? If not, would it be better to do med school and residency in South Africa, then move to the US on a visa? He has a degree in human movement and recreational science, and is an athlete if that helps.
