EMDR

Have you ever watched manga or Japanese subtitles and happen to cognitively mask the sound and comprehension of the two languages in an effort to transpose the languages in meaning to each other, reflecting contents to learn semantically? This happens to me. pic related. Does that mean anime is traumatic (cf EMDR)? The words/grammar/semantics takes a long time to comprehend and I suppose cause you do but you suspend the left brain from engaging and verbalizing the content. Information comes to a halt in the brain. Something to do with different grammar and visual v.s. audio input incongruency. You start listening cause you want to know Japanese and then you have to read because you don't understand or need help. Less and more simple is usually better to comprehension.

1. Not a Japanese learning thread.
2. Why is anime traumatic and Japanese depressing me?

I noticed that there's a real phenomena going on here. Looking to the left and then to the right relates to a certain business logic of the brain.
