If someone has a Call of Duty tshirt they are probably a gamer, if someone has unnaturally dyed hair they probably want attention, if someone has mismatching shoes they probably are either airheaded or just don't care, etc.
Having an ear piercing is usually a negative sign, and I doubt someone would go through all that trouble to fake it when there are easier options
