Hey everyone.
Part of my honours degree, I am required to do an independent study for two terms. The prof who will be supervising my study has given me the liberty of choosing whatever topic I find interesting. The problem is that my knowledge of what math has to offer is only limited to what I have learned so far in my required courses.
Either I am looking for ideas from you guys, or resources for which I can find other interesting topics.
My short term plan is to go into a masters program for Operations Research Analyst, so anything computational would be more of the direction I'd like to follow when it comes to this study.
I recently did a short research project on the Mandelbrot set, and I had a lot of fun doing it. So something along the lines of that would be perfect.
Any type of information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks kindly
