Tell us about the meme as it's the first time I have heard about it.
There will always be a need for people to interpret financial data and report it to the numerous stakeholders. If you get this wrong you will find yourself in a deep financial and political shit storm and it will be a nightmare to rectify.

It's automated now as much as it can at this point in time.
Automation takes stuff ups to a whole new level of sophistication where issues are extremely time consuming and costly to rectify if ever.

No, it still requires a human interface to interpret numbers and data for humans to understand.
Things can and do change, that is where automation fails, people can rely on this too much and can suffer tragic consequences when things go catastrophically wrong.

Yeah it's true, I'm an accountant and there's basically a new robot each week doing some process. everything we do is tracked on time-sheets so our managers can look for new automation opportunities. It's a pretty horrible profession considering you'll be treated like a toddler for the first 6 years or so in which time you could have achieved something decent with your life instead.
