>>1201066146 hours on top of lectures and labs 4-5 days a week, sure, if you're an average guy like me and not a /sci/ genius.
I was in 4 or 5 days a week each semester, usually from 9 to 6pm with maybe a 2 hour break in total. I never saw anyone with a more filled timetable than ours. I met some math, comp sci, med, and physics fags and they were all in less than I was.
The real difficulty comes from having so many subjects to do at once.
Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics, Structures, Materials, Electronics, Manufacturing, Engineering management, Group Design, and Math. Eventually, you learn that many of the same equations and physical principles are applied, but in slightly different ways. It can definitely be hard if you are not used to the work load, which I was not. I saw quite a few people just give up and drop out, even though they were smart enough, they simply could not keep up.
