Like I'm genuinely confused by this line of thinking. If they really wanted to control us they'd be anti-mask so we can be survellied and lean into contact tracing so hard our phones die from all the tracking apps. The prospect of a big scary disease that the only way we can control is contact tracing would serve and actual authoritarian governments interests quite nicely despite it being a perfectly reasonable activity from a public health standpoint. Masks just don't do that. So why do people think it does?
Is it because it makes you uncomfortable physically?
