>>12009929>Sci had a math captcha before and it should have one againNo it didn't. The idea has been floating around for years but unless the staff put it in as an April fools joke or something and I missed it, no such thing has been implemented before.
>the idea that some standard should be had for those who post here, even a very low one, is better than what we have now. This board fucking sucks and this is a small step in the right direction - do you agree?Every undergrad CS student could program a bot to defeat a math Captcha. It wouldn't increase the quality of the board at all, it would decrease it significantly. I wouldn't be opposed to some kind of vetting, just let me know when you've come up with a math-based filter that is only solvable by a human.
>hurr just do double CaptchaMight as well just take the board out back and put it out of its misery at that point. A math Captcha would already cut this board's traffic by 70-80%. Stack another Captcha on top of that and it would be slower than /po/. There is no easy solution. If you want them to go away, stop giving them attention. Shitting up every single thread by smugly "outing" the /pol/-posters instead of just ignoring them is why they're here in the first place. You keep feeding them like a retard.
