Ok. Call me a gibbering retard with ape brain, but has anyone tried to assemble a craft where we don't need to worry so much about the effect of rapid acceleration because the part of the craft that the passengers are in is housed in some sort of stretchy thing, like rubber bands or springs, that hold it to the front, back and sides of the vehicle. That could mean that the vehicle could execute more sudden changes of velocity without increasing the forces on the passenger too much.
