Since he just wants mathematics to be teached(?) from the old masters point of view and not just a bunch of formulas with no explanation what so ever.
This can be said for every subject honestly because all work especially academic one(done right) relies on rock solid foundations set in the past which the student has to know by heart.
Thats my opinion and im sticking to it.
