Has anyone else noticed that these fuckers do not push down on the air but rather are a half complex seesaw machine?

Look at all of these birds, their body moves upwards on the downstroke, that doesn't look thanks to pushing the air down rather than using their own muscles, bones and joints as a fulcrum to achieve lift.
