Still, the universe is a big place. Read recently that a group of scientists who previously said were 100% alone now think there are potentially upwards of 35 sentient, sapient, intelligent species in the Galaxy. If there are planets even remotely like ours then it stands to reason those worlds may develop complex life through an anomolous event at some point in time.
