I am studying a specific field in engineering which includes electronics, programming, biology, medicine etc. My study literally promised us a more practical hands on experience when it came to electronics and other things, yet it turned out to be more theoretical than I hoped for.
I ask myself constantly how anyone will take me seriously in the days to come once my bachelor is achieved. An engineer, who can only use his ti-89, but has never held a coil or capacitor in his hands?? lol
So this summer vacation I am taking it upon myself to actually learn to solder and go around with a bread board. Might even get an Arduino while I am at it. Just seems so pathetic that I have to get this childrens play set in order to receive a hands on approach.
Anyone here know some great starter kits to buy?
Have been checking this out and it gives me different types of sensors.
