It is known that dopamine and opioid tolerance exist and occurs in drug (ab)use as a result of too much of those chemicals.
It is also known that porn and masturbation release dopamine and natural opioids (essentially the same as doing any drug that releases dopamine or opioids), therefore, excessive porn & masturbation would cause an usually high amount of these chemicals eventually resulting in increased tolerance.
That increased tolerance then leads to the usual dopamine and opioid withdrawal symptoms such as depression and a bunch of other conditions.
Then, why do I hear a lot of people saying masturbation isn't addictive? It doesn't make any sense.
Am I missing something? Is my understanding of how all this works wrong?
