I think that the reason we are seeing more safe-spaces and left leaning politics around the world is that there is a global decrease in prenatal androgen exposure.

The biggest reason why is because the typical type of situations that require higher testosterone are just disappearing off the face of the earth and selectional pressure is on situations that require higher oestrogen (through for example the higher signalling to the hippocampus and sensitization of serotonin receptors by oestrogen), that is to say, higher self regulation rather than innovative thinking, brute force and leaderships.

This is why we now primarily don't see people lead, but ideas, fads, and ideologies lead people. People defer to that because they are getting increasingly bad at self-governing.

Why is testosterone decreasing globally? Well, because we have institutions that promote obeying and not self governing. Schools are the worst example of this, but we have yet laws that threaten taking anything into your own hands (don't get me wrong, I'm not against law, but people defer to laws now rather than common sense)
