1. Kind and hard-working girl that takes tidy notes of everything. Usually plain looking, but sometimes kinda cute.
2. Awkward, reclusive nerd. Usually unattractive.
3. Far less common than the other two, girls who are serious, confident and usually very attractive. They tend to have VERY strong personalities, though.
If you head to something like chemical or biomedical engineering, things will be very different. You'll have classes with a good M:F ratio, and a good handful of attractive girls.
But I wouldn't recommend you to date girls from your department, much less from your class. Dating colleagues can create some undesirable and unnecessary complications. Go after some biology or humanities girls, or whatever suits your taste, just don't fall for the "dating the cute girl I met in calculus class" meme.
