I already had 2 years of common courses, but now it's time to decide. If I could I would change to Computer Science but I'm trapped to these two options

Math has optional Stats courses. I guess I'll take that but a professor said to me that physics was a good playground for programmers and probably better for someone like me.
I want to learn Machine Learning and later AI, or just algorithms in general. CS would be better but it was never an option where I live, Math is the closest thing I guess and I'm overthinking because of that comment my professor said to me
