Is it possible for two cars using LIDAR to share the road? How would the cars know which laser is reflected from their car and not the other's? You can use multiple frequencies but that won't scale to millions of cars. Can the lasers beam a certain pattern so that they can recognise their own laser reflection, like how cellphone towers can communicate with individual cellphones?
