Why is nobody using sodium-ion batteries?

Everyone is talking about lithium and cobalt and how expensive electric cars are solely because of it and how we would run out if we convert all cars to electric etc.
I know it has inherently lower energy density (higher molar weigh and lower potential), but that's of absolutely no concern in stationary uses like in backup or grid storage and it's almost as good for all other uses

it's cheaper, safer and we have unlimited supply of raw materials
so why literally nobody is making them?
