Your knees don't really matter froma a evolutionary fitness point of view after a certain age. Women would die in childbirth long before their knees will blow out and men will have been outcompeted by younger males in the pussy blowing business before their knees give up.

They tend to suck, espcecially for older people because we sit around all day and we don't bother doing exercises that help strengthen our muscles and connective tissues.

Big reason why old people get injured so often isn't just because of age. A driving factor is their inactivity.
