i'm an ECE researcher and I don't think I've met a single person who uses those. everyone published in IEEE or ACM and some people put their papers on researchgate

physics to engineering is like what philosophy is to stem. engineering tries to solve real life problems with practical and feasible solutions while physicists try to come up with the most mental gymnastic wankery to answer questions nobody asked about things that aren't even relevant to humans. engineers take the gist adn the finished results of what physicists and mathematicians do and they turn it into something useful which makes both math and physics fags seethe

Even that's a stretch. Most engineering through out history has beed done before the physics and mathematical models were entirely understood. Physics just fast tracks engineering developments, but we are at the point where everything is so specialised that new developments in that communication between fields is slow.
