I need advice on this.
Which major does have a better start into Machine Learning?
One of my professors says it is physics since you do statistical analysis. But this contradicts my previous notion that because in Math I can accentuate in Statistics, Math is closer to machine learning than Physics. But is true that physicist "practice" more data analysis, is just that I don't care about particles or space bullshit.
Also I used to think Mathematicians are more open to work in anything than physicists. I'm an exceptional self learner so I could do either Physics or Math, but in your opinion which would be less a waste of time?
