Why do humans have 2 eyes when cameras function just fine with one?

With 1 camera, it’s impossible to determine the difference between a small object that’s very close, and a large object that’s far away. But by triangulating the distance between two different points and an object in your field of vision, you can tell exactly how close or far something is in addition to the shape of it.

I was gonna insult your intelligence but I guess you’re just a dumb zoomer who is used to looking things up as needed and don’t know anything, now you know something

No, it doesn’t affect the clarity of the image itself; it’s just giving your brain more information that it uses to calculate how far away the object is.

This isn’t an issue for just looking at something but it’s essential for manipulating objects in 3d, using your hands or a robot arm, and for 3d navigation like in self driving cars.

You can do it if you move the camera and take another photo. You don't even need to know how much you moved it.
