>>11973754Our technology FAR outpaces our monkey brain's ability to handle anything
We fall for fallacies, we make completely irrational decisions, we operate ENTIRELY on emotion
The only way to progress with technology without eventually destroying ourselves in a heated monkey brain moment is to alter our own brains. But it can't be individuals; the retarded masses would riot and kill "different" people, especially if they were actually "superior" (broadly defined).
We usually see a circle-jerk of how lofty humans are and how we are gods, but we are mostly a low-intelligence species
What is something to avoid, however, is the idea that we must become as "logical as possible"
That exists, its called a computer.
There is no all-encompassing "logical" goal of existence, so its a fallacy to suggest that following "more logical" thought is imperative beyond a certain point; there is no logical endpoint to humanity except heat-death of the universe, so why not just end all of humanity now?
Anyways, we all will eventually start altering our brains/connecting consciousness with one another, or eventually nuke ourselves into oblivion. It hasn't even been 100 years yet since we've had nukes, and we're seeing a real fall-of-a-country-with-nuclear-capabilities.
