So, what's up with the notion that everything that can happen will eventually happen?!

I am going to use an absurd example since this statement is kinda crazy:

I have a really hot co-worker and I really want to bang her, so by the logic of said statement, as long as the universe exists we will someday have wild sex.

But the problem is, we humans are restricted to this life for around 80 years, meaning that if it doesn't happen during our lifetimes, it may never happen.

So either this statement is being really misinterpreted by me or humans in the future found a way to bring back past humans from death.

Physics is kinda confusing.

And that future is influencing the past, our present, and the only reason we exist is to get to that point, which is inevitable.

Following the logic of all of this, in time, be it 50 or 5000 years, it will.

If you die and wake up in the future then it's proven.

Simply put, this is a problem of infinities of different sizes
There's potentially an infinite number of possible things that can happen
The universe potentially can exist for an infinite amount of time
But the two infinities don't match in size
Look at cantors diagonalization argument and think about it a bit for yourself

You aren't thinking on a big enough scale
First off is the multiverse theory, in which every choice leads to a seperate universe where you chose an option. This can be anything from what you had for breakfast, which house you choose, and what website you spend your time on. In one of these universes, you've chosen the right habits and the right actions to be able to fuck your hot coworker
Another way to view it is that since time is infinite, every nonzero possibility will happen. Since the universe was created once, even after the heat death of the universe it will happen again. This means that throughout these iterations, eventually you will come back and may do different actions. This is actually the same as the multiverse theory in effect, except that every timeline happens one after another instead of simultaneously.

No it won't because a different thing will happen, even in a materialistic view. Even one slight change in an atom in the big bang would change history in a large way. Something is bound to change due to different probabilities. It's like Schrodinger's cat, in one iteration the cat will be dead and in the other it will be alive.

Well I don't think the many worlds theory can be proven per se but I'm not an expert in the field so I don't know. However, the many worlds interpretation is a popular theory for quantum mechanics and how wave functions collapse
I think that the second interpretation is more likely though, and I used the MWI both to make more sense of the second part as well as another perspective to show why people say thid

To further clarify that - if something Does Not Happen, that means that it wasn't possible to begin with. It's that simple. Imagine action is linked to another previous action by a cause-action link. That creates one enormous web of actions, some of which are intertwined. That can be defined as the reality we live in. I have always thought that if that was the case, than it would only work if there was one "first" action in the universe. So, the Big Bang theory works well here. I'm not saying it needs to be exactly the big bang. It could have been any other thing that pushed the dominoes. What do you think, did that sound logical to you?
