>>11973256>Who are you quoting? The image that you're asking about. It says "every year about 98% of atoms in your body are replaced".
>i SPIT upon you!Let me try to explain what I mean better. Let's think of a thought experiment:
Imagine all the atoms in the universe are instantly and magically swapped with their equivalent atoms from somewhere else in the universe. The carbon atoms that sit in some thick girl's tits are suddenly, instantly, magically replaced with some carbon atoms from the other side of the universe. Every other atom in the universe is also swapped in this magical manner.
Is the universe any different from what is was before? NO. IT IS NOT. It is EXACTLY the same as it was before, because all the same atoms are in the same place. There is literally no difference at all. Atoms are universal.
So when people say that "you" are different from what you were a year ago because "you are different atoms, bro!" They are literally fucking retarded, because it doesn't matter that hte specific carbon atom in the cute girl's tits are different than they were a year ago. What matters is that it is a CARBON atom and it is in the same place in the overall system of her body. She is actually exactly the same as she was one year ago. This whole thing is very ship of Theseus like.
It would make a huge difference if the type of atom were replaced. But that literally can't happen, because the way every atom forms atomic bonds is completely unique to that type of atom.
Hopefully that makes sense. If you disagree, why? Even if you don't I'd like to hear your thoughts.
