If we encountered intelligent life, what senses might they have?

When you think about it, isn't it pretty fucking amazing that by detecting radiation in a narrow band of frequencies we can not only see whether another creature is close, but actually build a detailed picture of our surroundings?

Isn't it amazing that we can detect tiny disturbances in the air such that we can hear objects that are miles away, or deduce the exact nature of a moving object hidden behind a solid wall?
