Evolution provides a much more beautiful explanation for how things came to be, elegant, mathematical. Some horrifying moral pitfalls to a process like that too. It is a much more mindbending thing to even begin to understand the process that underpins the entire universe than to believe in some eternally butthurt sky triangle who throws rocks at your enemies.
If he really designed this world this way then its his own fault for me not believing in him, but based on what I know about God to make things work this way is far beyond this dude, not to mention he'd make himself redundant if he did. Gnosticism is fun to think about with their whole demiurge shtick but nah, not seriously.
