I was in the shower today, and I had a thought that might be worth asking on here. I know how cells are both their own unit of life and part of a greater whole, hence the pyramid. In the beginning, there were only cells, but later they grew. They became more complicated with endosymbiosis creating eukaryotes from prokaryotes, which lead to even more multicellular creatures. The pattern seems to be that these smaller organisms keep coming together as a bigger organism. Now, the point of this post is what if this doesn't stop here? Is the future of human evolution creating a more advanced being from multiple humans combined? This leads to another thought, what if this has already happened, and the biosphere is an organism of its own, a god if you will. What are your thoughts /sci/
