As conceited as it is of me to answer this,
>>11974957is mostly correct. I have a unique nervous system where a lot of things are cross-wired or faulty.
I can recall and absorb information more quickly and intuitively than the average person because I have built-in mnemonics. I see text when people speak, so spelling mistakes are out of the question. Math is easier because I have a sense of color and tactile sensation associated with it automatically. Abstract concepts are easier to grasp because I can conceive of them tangibly and vividly. I can call upon old info quickly because of a long chain of associations and intuitions that makes the information easy to find in a spatial sense.
I should add that my brain never shuts off. I get small seizures when I fall asleep and twitch and move a lot while I'm awake. Basically, my nervous system is always firing wildly and any intellectual advantages are probably a symptom of that. Also, I've been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and have severe hypersensitivity issues.
Different OS, not better.
