I came up with a novel idea to create an absolutely MASSIVE dish for potential radio telescope usage. Why don't we just melt it out of a block of ice on the ocean? We can adjust it's field of view with ballasting and anchors.
we can produce it very quickly at VERY low costs relative to permanent facilities.
Why don't/won't we do this?
