Atomic emission spectroscopy/flame emission spectroscopy should be usable in this case, but only WHILE burning (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_emission_spectroscopy). After you burned it, it doesn't really matter, the original composition cannot be recovered

Is the sample partially burned? Just throw it in a GC-MS and piece it together. Should be able to find both the original and what it combusted into. NMR to confirm
