It was killing a lot of Chinese at it's peak but it has obviously weakened. That's why people that die are usually really unhealthy. The weaker strain is the one that left China, because otherwise people wouldn't feel well enough to actually conduct business or tour the world. A lot of Chinese degenerates obviously fled immediately before quarantine so yea that's how it spread, but these had the weaker strain.
