Why hasn’t /sci/ talked about this?

A New Super earth was confirmed orbiting Proxima Centauri, Proxima Centauri c. And in the process of confirming proxima c another one was discovered that is in the process of being confirmed by the same Team, Proxima Centauri d. If confirmed this will make 2 planets in the habitable range of Proxima Centauri, our closest star.
>inb4 “hur dur the radiation would have stripped away their atmospheres”
No, they fucking wouldn’t have, the two studies which have suggested they were was mental masterbation by people who want to “pop the balloon” in front of excited people. They basically carbon copies all the planetary characteristics of earth, ignoring the unique characteristics of the planets orbiting proxima, planetary development, potential initial hydrogen sacrificial atmospheres, increased out gassing rates caused by tidal effects, tidal locking with massive quantities of trapped volatiles on the dark side for atmospheric replenishment, volatile Redelivery by comets, the accumulation of oxygen gas from photolysised water molecules. It is VERY likely these planets have atmospheres even if they are different from earth like ones.
