Conscience

The atoms that compose your body make you have a conscience just if placed that way, otherwise they'd just be pure elements, so we are biological machines, but how come we have a conscience, we can feel ourselves, ONLY ourselves, and think, I find it really fascinating, we give it for granted in our everyday life.

I also thinked that, suppose you could transfer your mind in a computer, to live forever, it'd behave exactly like you, but you wouldn't feel it, you wouldn't exist no more, you'd be dead, the consciousness would be no more, just a data transfer.
It would just be responding to the way it is programmed.
Maybe we are too, but how come we perceive ourselves, we have this thing, consciousness.

Our consciousness is limited to our body? If we transfer it like in the example we wouldn't have it anymore, it'd just be a clone that behaves exactly like you.

I don't have scientific knowledge, that's just my toughts.
