Im a huge brainlet and started reading On the Origin of Species, so I'm kinda confused and intrigued by what Darwin means by this? What is the other means of modification?
I'm only on chapter 1 which talks about man's involvement and I suppose human selective breeding is an alternative to natural selection, is that what he means or is there some other way in which things are modified? I'm gonna keep reading to find out but this intrigued me to the point I wanted to find the answer now.
