why would women want larger taller males if their babies would be bigger and harder to birth it out

knowing that in ancient times apparently when the monkeymans was still alive and kickin. they didnt have sophisticated tools of medicine and hospitals of 2020. how on earth would then would risk her life to birth a big ass baby from his big ass father meanwhile she could do it the easy way and birth small ass baby with her small ass husband?

Except the growth spurt happens after the baby is born for the first few years of its life and then around puberty. The size of the baby doesn't matter that much, what's important is the size of the woman's hips. Even if she's tiny, she could still have hips wide enough to successfully deliver the baby. There's also the natural response of her body when she's in labour that's important like how much her cervix opens and how fast it does.

The male taller norm is a social construction, there are cultures with hundreds of thousands of women that have no preference for men taller than they are.
Women want tall men because the average couple has a taller man and thats seen in all media. That's literally the reason and anyone who says otherwise is a coping anti science retard.

Our geneological record would indicate we were polygamous in prehistory, and there are obviously plenty of historical societies that were (and still are). In an era where brute force was the quickest way to combat supremacy I'd have to imagine the biggest guy in the tribe had his pick of women.

It's kind of like other primate groups. The males fight for the rights to the best females and establish a pecking order. The ones at the bottom don't get any access at all. Modern day courtship doesn't really bear with our prehistoric mating reality.

Mostly in prey/avian species, not in predator species.

In nature most sex IS rape. That's why humans have a psychological fascination with it. It's the most common sexual fantasy for both Men and Women for a reason.

As for females being the sexual selectors, that's only true in species with a low level of sexual dimorphism like big cats, where the female can fuck up a male if she is unwilling. But in humans even a strong female will be unable to fight off even a fairly weak Male. Even for most of Human history it wasn't the women who made sexual selections, it was the fathers and brothers giving their daughters/sisters away, choosing their Man for them. In humans at least Women being the sexual selectors is a new phenomenon, which has only really been a thing for the last century or so.
