why hasnt there been a big hype around Proxima centauri d ? whilst unverified it was discovered by the same team which confirmed proxima centauri c. basically every 5 days Proxima centauri moves a little bit and this is likely caused by a planet. such a planet would be 3 times the mass of mars or 30% earth mass so maybe 0.5-0.6g its receives 10% less light than Venus but still more than earth but if it even has a even slightly higher albedo than earth it will likely be a habitable desert planet. either tidally locked or in 2:3 synchronous rotation like mercury with sunset to sunset period of 72 hours. it may even have a breathable atmosphere because of the radiolysis of water resulting in abiotic large amounts of oxygen accumulation. lets have a conversation about this new and exciting planet /sci/
