What id do is find the area of the triangle and subtract it from the integral of sinx from 0 to 2pi and then divide the final answer by 2

I never took a math class or used integrals, but googling "triangle wave" and "area between two curves", I came up with this. Might be right, might not

$\int_{0}^{\frac{\pi}{2}}\left(\sin\left(x\right)-\frac{2}{\pi}\arcsin\left(\sin\left(x\right)\right)\right)\ dx$

Look at the your first drawing. Triangle base goes from 0 to pi.
1/2*b*h = 1/2*pi*1 = pi/2

If you're doing it like that, your triangle base is $\pi$ . It makes more sense just to integrate from 0 to $\frac{\pi}{2}$ and subtract just the left half of the triangle though
