Yes. Most EEs end up switch to software development. It's a sad waste but the market needs developers more than EEs.

Yep. I started EE then went CE. Getting hired as an software engineer is ridiculously easier for the expected pay.
The pivot took me like six months, and I know several fucks of a lot more about the whole stack from electrons to http requests than the large majority of my peers.

Do you like what you do? I've had my eyes set on EE for a while, but the more I look into it, CE/CS sounds more attractive in every respect.

Last reply wasn't me. Yes, I like software. I miss working with circuit and product design, but writing software in high level languages is pretty comfy.
