but it seems obvious that in western medicine medical trials mostly consisted of white participants. Historically that is to be expected, since there weren’t many blacks around, especially in Europe. Nowadays there’s probably more data on other races around due to globalization of medical research.

But there are some exceptions. Rashes are obviously harder to spot on darker skin, so you’d have to focus on other signs than color change.
