Everyone knows that if abstain from a drug eventually your receptors will upregulate and get back to baseline. But with THC if you abstain for a period and then start microdosing, cannabinoid receptors are upregulated faster, lowering tolerance to weed in a short amount of time. Is this type of action unique to the cannibinoid system, or can in be replicated with other drugs like nicotine, caffeine, LSD, nmda agonists etc.? Would it matter if the drug is an agonist or antagonist? Seems fairly simple but I can only verify that it works with shweed.
